CC01 design story: a follow-cam trailer for filming RC drift
Why the MMC CC01 camera rig exists, where the trailer idea came from, and why it became the most downloaded MMC design.

Filming RC drift has always had a problem: either someone films you, or you set up a tripod and hope the car passes through the frame. Neither looks very cinematic. The goal was a point of view nobody had shown before, and the CC01 is the result: a printed trailer that carries a phone right behind the car.
Where the idea came from
The design started from pictures found online and from projects by people who had built gooseneck trailers for their 4x4s. The CC01 adapts that idea to a drift car: a trailer that follows the car, with a phone mount that can be set in different positions.
Version 1.1 added a magnet mount, and the CC01-01 upgrade adds a vertical phone mount for vertical video.
Why it is the most downloaded MMC design
Because it is unique. There was no product on the market that let you make the videos the CC01 makes.

The CC01 build guide has the parts list and all eight assembly steps, and the files are on Cults3D.
